Here we are talking about a software function that allows you to make one long screenshot of an entire site. The signs of scrolling screenshot problems are very simple – the screenshot is not taken. Let’s find out why.
It is not necessary to look for the causes of errors in the software itself, they can be in the sites themselves. For example, secure sites (like banks or crypto-projects) may simply not allow you to take screenshots, and sites with infinite scrolling function logically will not allow you to take a screenshot of the entire page, because it is infinite. Also, third-party antiviruses like Malwarebytes can invent various obstacles to the software – in this case, it is worth trying to put the software in the exception antivirus.
First, try to do what you want in another browser – for example, FIrefox has a better chance to help you do what you want. Also, it is not superfluous to try to open the program settings, go to Scrolling Capture and there try the function in different modes (Auto, Vertical or Window).
Well, in this case there is nothing to describe – the program simply refuses to work, and we must think what is the matter. There may not even be an error alert here.
For any program to work correctly, you need files with the .dll extension – they are also called libraries. The problem we are considering is most likely caused by such a file – or rather by its absence. Since the program doesn’t show us an error alert, we don’t know which library is missing and can’t download it. So let’s go the other way. First of all, just update the drivers of your video card – this is the easiest thing that can help. Then if the problem is not solved, just reinstall the program – most likely the missing libraries will be installed again. If nothing helped, then perhaps the problem is not in the .dll files, and you should check your system for errors. It is not difficult to do this – just open a command line (Win+R – cmd – enter) and run the command sfc / scannow.
To avoid clogging up your downloads folder or desktop you have created a folder where you want to save all your screenshots, but the program persistently ignores you.
Just go to the program settings and in the Autosave tab find and carefully check the save path. The program may have reset the previously saved settings during the last update. Just specify the actual folder and the screenshots will be where you want them.
